Kindergarten pre-registration begins Thursday, April 2, for all incoming
kindergarten Newport students for the 2026-2027 school year. In order for your
child to qualify for kindergarten, you must be a Newport resident and your child
must be 5 years old by September 30, 2026.
More information will be forthcoming and your child will be scheduled a time for
their Kindergarten Screening on June 1st or 8th.
