Call for Career Exploration Day Speakers!

Newport Middle High School is looking for local professionals from a variety of career fields to participate in our career exploration day on April 22 in Newport, NH.

This is a great chance to inspire middle and high school students by sharing what you do, how you got there, and what skills are needed in your field. Presenters lead short, thirty-minute sessions for small student groups. You can also host a table at our opportunity fair to share information about your organization, job openings, internships, or volunteer opportunities.

5:30 pm at the high school. Teams will be in different rooms; there will be no general gathering.

Wednesday, March 18 - Spring Sports Parent and Athlete Night

5:30 pm in the cafeteria. This is required for all spring sports athletes and their parents or guardians.

Tonight's (2/10) JV and varsity boys games at Hopkinton have been postponed due to the weather. They have been rescheduled to tomorrow at the same times.

Today's MS girls game at home against Sunapee at 4:45 pm has been canceled because Sunapee does not have enough players to field a team.

The boys MS game against Sunapee at 3:30 pm is on as scheduled.

The Library Arts Center is holding an event tonight (February 6) and has respectfully requested that basketball fans not park in their lot for tonight's games. Thank you!

Tonight’s girls varsity basketball game at Hillsboro-Deering has been moved to a 5:30 pm start time. Bus leaves at 4:15 pm.

The Knights of Columbus are holding a free throw championship at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 13 at the LaValley Family Community Center as part of the Winter Carnival schedule. It's open to girls and boys from ages nine to fourteen. Each student gets fifteen shots, and whoever gets the most in each age/gender group wins and gets invited to the state championship held in Manchester in March.

The girls varsity home game against Hinsdale at 2:30 PM and the boys varsity home game against Hinsdale at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 24 have been postponed to a date to be determined because Hinsdale can’t travel in the cold weather.

The varsity girls game at Campbell on Monday, January 26 has been postponed and will now be played at Campbell Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 PM due to the impending snowstorm.

Home middle school basketball games against Winchester on Monday, January 26 are postponed. Makeup date TBD.

The indoor track meet at UNH scheduled for Sunday has been moved to Saturday.
