This is Donna Magoon, Newport Interim Superintendent. Due to the hazardous road conditions forecasted for tomorrow the Newport Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 23.
Due to school closure, there will be no extracurricular activities.

Now that we have the Middle School PTO up and running. We will no longer have parent advisory meetings. PTO meetings happen on the 3rd Monday of each month.

The Middle School PTO will meet on the 3rd Monday of each Month in Room B110 AT 4:30.
Middle School Tiger Cafe is now fully staffed Monday-Thursday, 2:30-4.
Starting next week our scheduled staff will be:

Wednesday: Mr. Zetlin
Thursday: Mrs. Botelho and Ms. Roy

Good Afternoon Newport Families,
This is Donna Magoon, Interim Superintendent. As you are aware the weather forecast for tomorrow morning, February 3, is between -5 and -10 degrees. Please make sure your child is dressed warm, especially if they are waiting at a bus stop or walking to school.
We have been informed buses may have a hard time starting, but our transportation department is on top of this. However if the bus is late for pick up, please be patient and understanding.

The A teams have a tournament on Saturday so the A boys and A girls will share the Wheeler Gym for practice from 2:30-4 pm
B teams do not have practice
