New Hampshire FFA Members “Pave Their Path” at 96th State Convention
BRETTON WOODS, NH — From March 11–13, 2026, the historic Omni Mt. Washington Resort & Spa served as the backdrop for the 96th New Hampshire State FFA Convention. This year’s theme, “Pave your Path: Where will your journey take you?” inspired students from across the Granite State to showcase their leadership, agricultural skills, and dedication to the future of the industry.
The three-day event celebrated excellence through Career Development Events (CDEs) and prestigious awards for both students and adult supporters. Sugar River Valley FFA had 25 FFA Members, 3 FFA Advisors & 1 Chaperone in attendance.
Student Achievements and Leadership
The convention culminated in the selection of the 2026-2027 Granite State FFA Officer team, with Emily Peckham being elected as the Granite State FFA Vice President. Several students were also recognized for their exceptional commitment, earning the State FFA Degree: Abby Tenney, Kara Packard, Glory Parker, and Alanna Lee.
Top honors in competitive events included:
Forestry CDE: The team of Carson Almstrom, John Wilkinson, Celia Osborne, and Alidia Urista took home 1st Place. Almstrom also secured 1st Place High Individual, with Wilkinson placing 4th Place High Individual.
Creed Speaking CDE: Allayna (AJ) Sprague earned 1st Place, demonstrating powerful delivery of the FFA values.
Floral Design CDE: Allayna (AJ) Sprague took home Best of Show. Emma-Anne Lee earned Grand Champion/1st Place in Mixed Media, leading a 1st Place championship group including Bryanna Geer, Alanna Lee, Calla Boardman, Emily Peckham, Annabelle Wheeler, Celia Osborne, and Kayla Lallo. Other Mixed Media winners were Glory Parker 2nd Place and Hannah Gardner, Alidia Urista and Briah Lippincott receiving 3rd Place honors. Kara Packard also received a 2nd Place for the Fresh category.
Milk Quality & Products CDE: The team of Haley Davis, Alanna Lee, Kayla Lallo, Briah Lippincott, and Emma-Anne Lee earned 3rd Place.
Greenhand / SAE Award: Kayla Lallo received the 3rd Place/Silver Outstanding SAE Award for Research.
Chapter Display: The team of Kayla Lallo, Glory Parker, Hannah Gardner, Calla Boardman, and Kara Packard also took 3rd Place for their Chapter Display.
Supporting the convention's operations were Annabelle Wheeler (Courtesy Corp), Abby Tenney (Nominating Committee), and Kara Packard, who performed a flute rendition of the National Anthem.
Adult and Community Recognition
The Granite State FFA also took time to honor the mentors who make the program possible. Deborah Stevens was presented with the Lifetime Service Award for her enduring commitment to agricultural education, while Daniel Merritt, a past Sugar River Valley FFA chapter officer and Granite State FFA officer was awarded the Honorary State FFA Degree.
