Newport Middle High School is looking for local professionals from a variety of career fields to participate in our career exploration day on April 22 in Newport, NH.
This is a great chance to inspire middle and high school students by sharing what you do, how you got there, and what skills are needed in your field. Presenters lead short, thirty-minute sessions for small student groups. You can also host a table at our opportunity fair to share information about your organization, job openings, internships, or volunteer opportunities.

Richards Elementary School, Newport Middle and High Schools and the Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center will open two hours delayed today, Friday March 6.

Middle School and High School youth aged students are invited to attend the Halfway to Halloween Dance & Haunt on March 13, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Newport Recreation Center.
There will be snacks, music, prizes for costumes, games, silent disco & dancing (optional), and photo booth (optional).

The National Weather Service is calling for a significant snowfall beginning at about 12:00 on Friday (tomorrow) The timing of the storm is calling for significant snowfall to begin during the 12:00 hour. With a 1-2 inch per hour snowfall rate possible the Newport School District will use an early release for FRIDAY 2/202/6 to ensure transport of students and staff safely home.
