NMS Basketball
To provide time for both our partners in the town of Newport and our District staff to complete the clean up after this long duration storm, the Newport School District will operate on a 2hr delay for Tuesday January, 27th.

Newport Middle and High School and Sugar River Valley Regional Technical Center will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Richards Elementary School will begin at 10:15 a.m.
Thank you to the Newport Highway Dept and the Newport District Maintenance and Custodial Staff for all of their hard work to keep us safe.

Due to the inclement weather predicted for Monday 1/26/26 all Newport School District facilities will be closed for 1/26. All after school activities are cancelled. Please stay safe and warm and we thank those who keep our streets and road open and who make our buildings safe to return to.

The girls varsity home game against Hinsdale at 2:30 PM and the boys varsity home game against Hinsdale at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 24 have been postponed to a date to be determined because Hinsdale can’t travel in the cold weather.

The varsity girls game at Campbell on Monday, January 26 has been postponed and will now be played at Campbell Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 PM due to the impending snowstorm.

Home middle school basketball games against Winchester on Monday, January 26 are postponed. Makeup date TBD.

EARLIER: The varsity basketball games at Sunapee on Tuesday, January 13 will start a half-hour earlier: girls at 5:00 PM and boys at 6:30 PM.

January 15 Sports Schedule Changes

The JV and varsity boys basketball teams will play at Raymond with updated start times: the JV boys will play at 6:00 pm followed by the varsity boys at 7:30 pm. The bus will depart NMHS at 4:00 pm.

The middle school girls and boys basketball games at Winchester have been postponed. The teams will now practice at the high school: MS girls 2:30-4:00 pm and MS boys 4:00-5:30 pm.
