The varsity basketball home games against Hinsdale that were postponed from January 6 will be made up on Saturday, January 24: Hinsdale varsity girls at Newport 2:30 pm and Hinsdale varsity boys at Newport 4:00 pm.
Tonight's Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball games against Springfield have been canceled for Tuesday, January 06, 2026.
The three Hinsdale home basketball games scheduled for today have been postponed (unified, boys and girls varsity).

Tonight's (1/5) girls varsity basketball game at Kearsarge has been moved to a 6:00 PM tip-off time. Bus departure is now 4:45 PM from the high school.

Your son or daughter will be bringing home an authorization form for you to give permission for them to be videotaped for live streaming and media purposes. Organizations which frequently live stream our athletic contests like NCTV or YCN will not be able to do so until permission is granted.

You're Invited! Newport Middle High School Holiday Band Concert
Please join us for our Annual Holiday Band Concert on Tuesday, December 16, 2025
Concert begins at 6PM and is anticipated to go until 8PM
Located in the High School Gymnasium.
There will be NO Admission fee for this event
Staff Requests: If you need to leave early, please wait for a
musical piece to be completed & please leave food/drink outside of gymnasium.

The performance schedule will remain the same:
* Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders will perform at 10:30 AM.
* 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will perform at 1:30 PM.
Both concerts will be held in the school gym, accessible through the gym entrance.
If you plan to pick up your child, please check in upon arrival; sign-out sheets will be available. Students will return to the gym to be reunited with their parent/guardian.
